Within the framework of ENEY-3 project of international technical aid, the realization of which will begin in 2009, Belarus plans to create a dactyloscopy system on its border. According to Jury Fedorov, Head of Department of International Cooperation of the State Border Committee of Belarus, the Belarus system will be similar to European EURODAC system applied for taking of fingerprints of persons, who seek asylum in Europe. European Commission has already given its preliminary approval for financing of the project, and it will be implemented jointly with UNHCR and the International Organization for Migration.
