Biometric system fails

(no votes)

The biometric system of passes for port workers (TWIC), introduced in Wilminton (Delaver, USA) at the end of October, 2007, in every fiftieth case fails to compare a fingerprint with the data contained in a smart-card. In this connection the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), subordinated to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), intends to replace it. The deficiency of the scanners was reported to the conference on sea transport security.
