British retailer networks stop accepting checks

Representatives of the British chain of Sainsbury's supermarkets (one of the biggest in the country) have announced their intention to stop accepting banker's checks as a means of payment. Sainsbury's will join other big British networks such as Boots, Asda and Shell, which do not accept checks already.
