NBU urges Ukrainian banks to join Borrower Register system
The National bank of Ukraine (NBU) urges banks to join more actively the central bank information system – “Borrower Register”. It is said in NBU’s letter, called “Concerning to participation in the Borrower Register Uniform Information System of November 5, 2009 (# 40-312/6000-20684).
“The Borrower Register exists since 2001, and has accumulated the considerable volume of the information about customers who have past due loans in banks, including those that have been liquidated, or are about to be liquidated. This Borrower Register system is the single system in Ukraine on the volume of the accumulated data, the level of information centralization and protection, the control degree of the coordinator (NBU) on the activity of the System’s participants,” – it is underlined in the letter.
