Symantec Corporation announced its add-ins to Veritas Storage Foundation product, which allow to achieve the maximal efficiency of the thin provisioning systems, optimizing the process of migration and permitting redistribution of the freed resources. Thin provisioning is a technology based on disk files and intended for an efficient dynamic distribution of capacity between the applications and a maximal use of the capacity.
