Victor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, is intended to stop business of the currency exchange offices working under agency agreements with commercial banks. By his words, such exchangers destabilize the country currency market, and besides, their activity is difficult to supervise.

Mr. Yushchenko has made such statement in extreme instability background in the country currency market where, for last months, the hryvnia has depreciated almost twice, and on December, 19th, 2008 has risen in price for 10 %.

According to V. Yushchenko, the task for the National Bankof Ukraine is the establishment of the total control over currency purchase in the interbank market.
