Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) of
Russia has prolonged the applications initiation term for banks, for the transfer of assets and obligations of the Moscow Mortgage Bank (MMB) till December, 25th, 2008. DIA participates in the plan on the prevention of MMB’s bankruptcy, and since December, 10th, 2008, executes in the bank the function of an acting administration.
The size of obligations of MMB under private deposits does not exceed 2 billion roubles. The basic actives of bank are a mortgage portfolio with the fixed rate which does not pay expenses on service of deposits, and also credits to the municipal enterprises of the Moscow region, and the portfolio of securities.
