Since December, 22nd 2008, transport company "Ukrzalisnytsya" (Ukrainian Railways) has introduced the fist stage of railways tickets purchasing project via the Internet.

Now Ukrainian passengers can book railway tickets. In January, 2009 Ukrainian Railways plans to expand the project, start payment for tickets by cards of Ukrainian local payment system (NSMEP, National System of Mass Electronic Payments), Visa and MasterCard through the Internet.

In 2nd half-year 2009, self-service kiosks network for purchasing electronic ticket should be installed.
