On October 1, 2009, a first million magnetic stripe BelCard card has been personalized in the Bank processing center (Belarus).
The shares of main bank–issuers are:
• BPS-BANK – 40%;
• Belarusbank – 32%;
• Belagroprombank – 18%;
• Belinvestbank – 9%;
• National bank of the Republic of Belarus – less than 1%;
• Delta Bank – less than 1%;
• Paritetbank – less than 1%.
Rates of BelCard–M cards issuing constantly grow. So, if the issue of the first half–million BelCard–M cards took 10 months, the next 500,000 cards – only 4 months. Now, the Bank processing center personalizes more than 10,000 BelCard–M cards for seven banks–issuers per day.
The infrastructure of banks–members of BelCard system is completely adapted for BelCard-M cards accepting.
