According to the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation and supervision of financial market and financial organizations, bad credits take a 30% share of Kazakhstan banks’ loan portfolio.
As the Agency said: “As of October 1, 2009, the structure of the loan portfolio was as follows: the share of standard credits was 27.5%, doubtful ones – 42.5%, bad credits – 30%.”
At the same, the share of bad credits, not including BTA Bank and Alliance Bank, which now are restructuring their debts, takes 8.9% of the aggregate loan portfolio.
