Russian payment system Zolotaya Korona (Golden Crown) has expanded the area of Electronic travel card system implementation. From January 20, 2010, travel cards have appeared in Kemerovo.

At the stage of the system’s start the main innovation is cardboard travel cards. Thus, Kemerovites will have a choice: to get a plastic card or a cardboard card which is cheaper, but has practically the same technical characteristics.

Kemerovites are offered 4 types of travel cards, developed specially for this project: the Unified travel card, the Schoolboy card, the Student card and the Pensioner travel card. Each type of travel card can be cardboard or plastic. The Unified travel card can be bought by any Kemerovite with no exception. Other three types of travel card are socially specified.
