Russian Post issued unified payment cards for universal telecommunication services which, from February, 2010, are available in all post offices across the country. Unified payment cards – cards to pay universal telecommunication services, as with use of payphones, as points for shared Internet access.
At the end of 2009, Russian Post delivered these unified payment cards to all post offices in 28 branches (located basically in Northwest, Central and Southern federal districts). In February, 2010, cards will be available in all post offices of other branches.
At present, there are about 15,000 points for shared Internet access in post offices throughout the country.
