On February 8, 2010, at the meeting of the Russian Government’s Commission for Regional Development, held in Ufa, Sberbank of Russia and URALSIB Bank demonstrated opportunities of a new unified federal information and payment system “Universal Electronic Card”. The system, banks developed, enables to provide governmental (municipal) and financial services throughout Russia by means of the unified electronic card and on the basis of the common standards of interaction.
Unification and integration of regional social card projects, Sberbank of Russia and URALSIB Bank executed, also enable to provide governmental services in ATM networks of both banks.
