Zolotaya Korona, a Russian payment system, summarized the results of its work in 2009. As of January 1, 2010, banks, members of Zolotaya Korona system, issued over 22.4 million cards in total. It is by 49% as much as in 2008. The total turnover of the System reached 415.8 billion roubles. Within 2009 Zolotaya Korona card holders made more than 516 million transactions and it is by 54% as much as a year ago.
As of January 1, 2010, banks issued more than 6.7 million Zolotaya Korona cards, an issue growth for the accounting period was 9%. Commercial Bank of Kyrgyzstan, FinanceCreditBank (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), Express Bank (Makhachkala) joined the System. During the year the System increased the number of ATMs (incl. machines with cash–in function), accepting Zolotaya Korona cards, by 17%.
