On March 17, 2010, Russian Post has presented the first post office of Business format. It is the main post office of Ryazan, reconstructed under the program of post office modernization, the federal post operator renewed some time ago.
According to the plan of modernization, in 2010 Russian Post is going to get reconstructed 1000 post offices.
Reconstruction of post offices in a new Business format implies essentially new organization of customer floor, which is divided into areas: the operational area with 15 counters, four of which will service corporate clients, the retail area with the public Internet access point located there.
In practice, the profitability of the reconstructed post offices is on the average by 15%-20% as much as in the unreconstructed ones.
