According to the Ukrainian processing center (UPC), during the last year the number of Ukrainian Internet shops accepting payment cards was almost doubled. At present, 919 Internet shops are connected to UPC EcommerceConnect system whereas a year ago there were only 443.

The average monthly turnover of the merchants, connected to UPC, has also increased – in 2010 every month Internet shops earn by 80% as much as last year. The number of purchases, Ukrainian card holders made in the Web in March, 2010, is by 68% as much as the last year figures.

Today it is getting more and more popular among residents of Kiev to pay for utilities via the Internet.
