By May 1, 2010, banks – members of
Armenian Card (ArCa) – issued 490,000 cards, it was by 30.2% as much as during
the same period of 2009, and 17,500 of them were issued in April.
According to Armenian Card, active local ArCa cards took a 60% share of all
cards (293,400 cards), MasterCard Worldwide – 16% (77,100 cards), Visa Inc. -
24% (119,400cards). On the average, during April of this year 349,000 cards were
used (71% of all active cards).
As of May 1, 2010, there were 612 ATMs in Armenia.
