As Peter
Prokopovich, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of
Belarus (NBRB), has reported to Alexander Lukashenko, President
of Belarus, that in June, 2010, credit rates in the country would reach the level
of 15%.
"The work
that was being done to achieve pre-crisis level of credit interest rates – the
official bank rate plus 3% - will be completed," – was said in the report.
Peter
Prokopovich also has noticed that in March, 2010, interest rates on newly
issued credits decreased by 1.1% in comparison with February.
The
quantity of payments in the payment system of Belarus has increased by 13% in
comparison with the previous year.
