The
Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine Konstantin Efimenko
considers establishing Post-Office bank
in the future. According to the Minister Ukrpochta (Urkainian Post Service)
gets the main income from pension payments.
«There are 13,7
mln pensioners in Ukraine.
8,4 mln actually get pensions through the post services. Every year they get
about 80 bln hryvnas (USD 10 bln) at the post offices or have it delivered by a
postman. That’s why we’re considering the possibility of establishing a
Post-Office bank, - said K. Efimenko. The Minister is sure that people would
trust this bank as they trust the post services.
