Kiosk Europe is a truly pan-European kiosk and self-service
technology industry trade show. VeriFone as the payment solution provider for
the major petrol companies worldwide, with customers such as Shell, BP,
Chevron, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and Pemex, to name a few,
was attending the last Kiosk Europe 2010 in Essen.
Payment
solutions for self-service petrol station devices need to meet stringent
requirements in order to face the challenges of an unattended environment.
Devices must be ruggedized to operate in a wide temperature range, be resistant
to vandalism as well as to dust and water. Like all other payment solutions,
they must also meet the payment industry security standards and be EMV and PCI
PED compliant, and accept credit, debit, fuel and loyalty cards.
During the
three days in Essen VeriFone were presenting VeriFone’s Vx 700 and SCR 710
which are vandal-resistant and outdoor-rated for kiosk and vending
environments.
Also they
presented the MX 760 PCI approved solution that is perfect for pay-at-the-pump
and other outdoor kiosks. Our MX 870 will be on display, which combines an
extra large colour display and touch screen technology with payment
capabilities, ideal for self-service kiosks.
In addition
to payment terminals for self-service fuelling, VeriFone has also developed
SecurePumpPay, a ready-to-go retro-fit kit needed for a full installation of
self-service payment in existing fuel pumps. SecurePumpPay includes the MX 760,
an outdoor rated printer, power supply and relevant cabling, and it is designed
to fit a variety of leading fuel dispenser vendors.
VeriFone’s
self-service payment devices are installed in petrol stations globally, from
the United States and United Kingdom to United
Arab Emirates, Malaysia and New Zealand.
VeriFone in
addition have many contactless technology solutions, which were in VeriFone
stand, including plug-and-play readers, such as QX 1000 and PIN pad PP1000SE.
A special
position in the booth was dedicated to VX Evolution products family; this event
was another occasion to present directly the new line to the visitors.
