According to
the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures of stimulation
of the cards payment system development” dated April 19, 2010 the range of the
bank cards application on Tashkent agricultural markets will be expanded.
Farkhad
agricultural market (Tashkent) was the first that started to implement system
of non-cash payments for agricultural products. The new system has been tested since
August 2009. There are 6 shops equipped with POS-terminals in the market
complex. The volume of non-cash payments grows by 10-15% every month.
The parking
lot for 350 cars adjoining the market is also equipped with two payment
terminals.
The same work
aimed to develop and improve non-cash payment system is being conducted in all the
large Tashkent markets in cooperation with the commercial banks of the country.
