Wincor
Nixdorf continues its success story in the area of store software for retail
companies with the sale of the 100,000th license for its TPApplication Suite
software to the company J.A. Woll Handels GmbH, which operates more than 40
special item stores in Germany. The retailer ordered 245 licenses for the POS
application TP.net Frontstore along with other components of the TP.net
solution portfolio, which offers components for the centralized control of a
retail company’s store landscape.
Consulting and support services during software integration are also
included in the scope of the project. The rollout of the software should be
finished by the end of 2010. Following rollout, Wincor Nixdorf will provide
services for a period of at least five years.
“The high
quality of the solution and the sheer breadth of TP.net’s functionality were
both important reasons why we chose this software,“ comments Ingo Stern,
Managing Director and Partner at J.A. Woll.
“Other decisive factors were the solution’s easy integration in our
merchandise management system and TP.net’s flexibility in mapping and – where
necessary – quickly and easily adapting our processes.”
In addition
to using TP.net for the company’s POS application, in the future J.A. Woll will
implement it for the control of all of its stores, for promotion management and
for analyzing business success. The most important criteria in favor of the
software were the solution’s modern architecture, extensive functionality and
the comfortable option of administering all the stores from headquarters.
In 2004,
Wincor Nixdorf restructured its software portfolio. With the TP Application
Suite, it introduced a new and future-oriented solution architecture to the
market. In just the last six years, the software has proven its worth in more
than 100 retail companies around the world.
“It was
important to us to find a strong solution supplier who could guarantee us a
reliable partnership over the long term. We’ve found that partner in Wincor
Nixdorf,“ Ingo Stern notes.
The heart
of the TP.Application Suite is its functions in the stores: the solution
controls more than just traditional POS systems. The store components integrate
self-service checkouts, payment stations, mobile solutions for self-service
shopping, electronic shelf labeling systems, reverse vending machines, cash
management automation systems and warehousing. Yet mapping and controlling
store processes isn’t enough: critical challenges that retail companies face in
their store structures include the central control of the store landscape and
the need to secure customer loyalty through targeted measures. Whether a retailer
needs to update software, parameterize individual checkouts in its stores,
ensure targeted and coordinated campaigns and promotions or monitor individual
stores, TPAdmin can perform all these tasks comfortably from one central
location. TPAnalyze is a business intelligence component that can be used, for
example, for online monitoring of the development of sales or the success of
advertising campaigns in individual stores, groups of stores or regions.
TPLoyalty delivers customer loyalty functions, with precise customer segmenting
mechanisms, targeted campaigns and customer loyalty programs as well as the
immediate control of the success of the individual customer loyalty measures
implemented.
