Wincor Nixdorf traditionally supports Sberbank of Russia in the most challenging innovations. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that was held on June 17-19, 2010 wasn’t an exception.
Multifunctional self service terminal, that enables complete automation of the bank’s work with the client, was in the center of the Forum’s participants attention. It was immediately named “ATM of the Future”. It’s the only device in the world with this wide range of functions actually capable to work for the whole banking outlet.
With its help the bank’s client would be able to make any banking transaction. For example the client can open the bank deposit account by signing an agreement with a bank using a pickboard. He/she would be able to apply for a bank card (smart card as well) and to get it right away. It’s also possible to request an individually designed card using, for example, family pictures from any carrier (cell phone, flash card etc). It’s possible to apply for a loan – consumer, car or mortgage and even to get a surveyor’s approval online. The ATM will scan the client’s passport and other documents required to create a credit history, and would check their authenticity. The ATM allows taking into account personal requirements of the client – the currency, term of the loan and interest rate. It offers to choose and activate loyalty programs (aero and mobile bonuses, charity etc).
The ATM is equipped with an extended keyboard which simplifies entering personal data. Large-format printer (A4) allows printing the agreements (with the bank’s employee and the client’s signatures), terms of the chosen bank’s products, balance statements etc. Voice prompt via the integrated dynamics or plugged in earphones will help the visually impaired clients. Integrated NFC module allows downloading content and applications directly to the mobile phone. RFID module enables writing and reading the card information without inserting it into the card reader. A huge (42``) touch screen display makes the work with the ATM a pleasure.
The terminal complies to the most advanced security technologies, including 3D face recognition and fingerprint biometrics. The security system also includes intrusion detector, rolling detector, scan identification and object left detector. In case of cardless operations the system enters standby mode if the user goes away.
The ATM’s interface makes using multiple services of Sberbank very easy. In case the client has any questions he still can get the assistance of the call center representative using the video conference mode (via web camera).
The exhibition visitors had a chance not only to get familiar with the equipment but also go get a wide range of real services of Sberbank both at the bank’s stand and on the site of the Forum. They could deposit and withdraw cash, make a charity donation to the foundation “Podari zhizn”, make cashless payments, work in Mobile bank and Sberbank Onl@ne modes and many others.
Functionality of new decisions, design of the equipment and interface were appreciated by all the guests of the Forum including the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, who visited the stand of Sberbank of Russia accompanied by the President and Chairman of the bank German Gref and personally tested the “AMT of the Future”.
Reliability of the ATM network operation at the Forum was controlled and supported by the constant monitoring via ProView, the software of Wincor Nixdorf, deployed outside the Forum’s site on the North-West branch of Sberbank of Russia.
