According
to the Citibank Russian cardholders reached pre-crisis level of spending
abroad. The economy was limited by 2009.
In 2009 Russian
middle class famous for its generosity abroad reduced both number of travels abroad
and amount of money spent outside the RF.
Though according
to the forecast made by Citibank in 2010 the share of payments made by its
clients abroad will grow up to 18.8% of the total volume of card payments. In
2009 thisindexdroppedfrom
19.4% to 17%. Inagood 2007 itwas 17.5%.
In the course
of the research the bank analyzed the monthly data January 2007 till June 2010.
Each sampling of the month included at least 200 thousand respondents from the
cities with the population more than 1 mln people.
