Before the Autumn of 2010
the program of Ukrzalinyzi (Ukrainian railroad) on developing and introducing

electronic tickets to be bought by the passengers via the Internet will reach
its final stage.
According to the General Director
of Ukrzalinyzi Leonid Loboiko, trial journeys will be available in the train
80/79 Kiev-Dnepropetrovsk, where the attendants will have special scanners for
reading e-tickets bought via the Internet.
The passengers won’t have
to go to the cashiers, it’s enough just to go to the attendant with the printed
ticket.
As of today 120 thousand electronic
tickets were already sold in the Internet. Totally there were ordered 140
thousand tickets. In 2009 passengers of the Ukrainian railroad booked and
bought 82 281 tickets via the Internet, including 71 720 tickets that
were paid for via the Internet.
