The first transaction with Visa card issued by the Russian Standard Bank was made during the press conference held at McDonalds Polezhaevskaya fast food restaurant on August 10, 2010.
During August of 2010 4 restaurants in Moscow and one in St.Petersburg will start accepting cards. Morethan 250 restaurantsalloverRussiawilljointheprojectfromthe 1st of October till the 1stof Decemberof 2010.
Russian Standard bank developed integrated technologic solution that provides accepting of contactless cards, for the fast food chain. More than 2500 POS terminals will be installed within the project. Each cash points including outside McAvto cash points will be equipped with these devices. The cardholder will personally scan the card at the terminal. This solution makes cashless transactions faster (5-6 seconds) and guarantees additional safety of the payment.
