Tieto
Corporation and Russian leading IT service and consulting company I-Teco will
establish a new joint venture company, TrustInfo, providing a full range of
globally competitive infrastructure and cloud services in Russia. Tieto
will own 70% of the shares in the new joint venture company and I-Teco 30%. The
initial investment by only Tieto will be approximately EUR 20 million. The new
company will start its operations after the transaction receives an approval
from Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation.
The joint
venture will be based in the existing I-Teco's data centre. The data centre is
a brand new, fully operational facility with highest technology, quality,
security and processes. It is already serving both Russian and foreign
enterprises operating in Russia.
At the same time, Tieto will upgrade the data centre with its operations
management services and newest technology to enable flexible IT infrastructure
services delivery.
Tieto's
operations management services in Russia will include server
operations, capacity services, connectivity and security services, Unified
Communication & Collaboration, as well as applications management,
consolidation and optimization capabilities.
The joint
venture will be a part of Tieto's cloud services network also including St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. Moscow Data
Centre has a ready IT infrastructure environment with experienced IT
professionals, which gives possibility to serve customers immediately. With
Tieto's global operations, the new joint venture company will also give Russian
customers access to Tieto's and I-Teco's technology partners such as
Microsoft, Cisco and EMC.
