07-09-10 Sberbank of Russia is planning to increase the number of cards up to 60 mln by the end of 2010
Sberbank
is going to increase the number of its cards in circulation by 30%, up to 60
mln cards by the end of 2010. Today Sberbank has about 30% of the Russian card
market. By the end of this year the issue can reach 60 mln cards and a year
later – 70 mln cards, said V. Orlovsky.
Sberbank of Russia is a
member of Universal electronic card LLC. According to Mr. Orlovsky, over 3-4
years after the Universal electronic card system’s launch Sberbank of Russia
will issue 40 mln of these cards.
