TCS Opens Global Delivery Center Opening in Mexico
On June 18, 2009, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services and consulting firm, announced the opening of its third global delivery center in Queretaro. This represents a key milestone in the company’s expansion across Latin America and its Global Network Delivery Model recognized as the benchmark of excellence in software development.
TCS expects to hire 500 professionals during the current financial year for its new center in Queretaro. At the new GlobalDeliveryCenter, TCS will provide advanced IT services, consultancy, test factory, business process outsourcing, contact center, IT infrastructure solutions, industrial and engineering services, and solutions based on exclusive TCS products to existing and potential customers.
Since TCS established operations in Mexico in 2003, the company already serves more than 30 local clients in addition to international clients across various industries, including telecom, finance, banking, manufacture and retail.
The opening of the center in Queretaro represents an important step ahead in the expansion plan of TCS in Latin America. This center is the third in the country after Mexico City and Guadalajara, Jalisco.
It is the seventh in Latin America where there are Global Delivery Centers in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico with a CMMi 5 level, the highest quality standard in the industry, and operates a GlobalServiceCenter for the outsourcing business processes in Chile and Uruguay. In Mexico, TCS has commercial offices in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Queretaro.
