TJX will pay Visa issuers for data leak
TJX Companies, one of the largest American retail networks, offered 40.9 million US dollars to the issuers of Visa Int. credit cards for an extrajudicial settlement of their data leak claims. Banks, in turn, demand a reimbursement of their expenses for issue of new cards. Visa Int. intends to impose on TJX its own fines. To come into force an amicable agreement requires consent of 80 % of the banks-participants of the claim, while the claims should be settled with each of them individually.
