The Number of Electronic Fraud Cases has Almost Doubled

Boris Miroshnikov, general-colonel of militia, head of the Bureau of Special Technical Actions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said in his interview to the Russian Newspaper that with the growing volume of the electronic financial turnover the number of crimes in this sphere also increases. In the first half of 2008 alone 420 criminal cases were commenced against electronic swindlers, whereas in the similar period of 2007 there were only 222 such cases.
