“Bad Bank” May Appear in Russia

Member of the board of directors of VTB Capital and former Chairman of Central Bankof Russia Sergey Dubinin supposes that it’s necessary to create a specialized fund to buy up troubled assets. Partly functions of work with bad resources are laid on Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA).

The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) recently espoused the idea of “bad debts” bank’s creation. According to top-managers of the Union, this structure may be created on DIA’s base.
