On August, 7, 2009, the board of directors of the Bank of Russia has made a decision to decrease the official bank rate by 0.25 percent to 10.75 percent since August, 10, 2009.
This decision is caused by set of macroeconomic trends which have enabled the Bank of Russia to continue decreasing interest rates for instruments of monetary policy.
Further movements of the Central bank in this direction will depend on development of inflation trends, dynamics of credit activity in the bank sector and the health of the financial markets.
