The Bank of Russia has prepared a security card use guide for cardholders, which is published in “The Bulletin of the Bank of Russia”, dated October 7, 2009.
The Central Bank of Russia suggests its territory branches to do “additional work with banks to raise cardholders awareness about the security of their cards, card particulars, personal identification numbers (PIN-codes) and other data, and also to reduce possible risks when they execute any operations with cards in АТМ or paying for goods and services by their cards, including online purchases.” Such work on raising awareness and reducing possible risks when you use a card, includes distributing this guide in cardholder service points and it should be accessible and available.
