By the results of the poll, research holding Romir held, 48% of Russians have no savings. The other half of Russians (52%) manages to save some money.
People with above-average income can save money more often (63%), but also among those who have average income (53%), and even those, who have small income (50%), the share of the respondents thrifting is about the same as the national average (52%).
1,500 respondents above 18 years of age from all Federal districts took part in the all-Russia poll, held by Romir in September, 2009.
