On December 2, 2009, Dmitry Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation, has signed the Federal Act “On modification of the Federal Act “On activity of payment agents in accepting private payments” and the Federal Act “On modification of some particular enactments of the Russian Federation in connection with acceptance of the Federal Act “On activity of payment agents in accepting private payments.”
Made changes will allow to use, till January 1st, 2014, any cash register equipment, put into the State register before Acts on activity of payment agents come into force and registered by the Tax Administration till January 1, 2011, which it is quite enough in the market. At the same time, cash registers, put into the State register of cash register equipment after the day the Acts on activity of payment agents come into force, can be used only if it meets the requirements of the Acts.
The Act also extends the term of equipping terminals and ATMs with cash registers till April 1, 2010. After April 1, 2010, you will not be able to accept payments, if you have no cash register, provided by the Act.
