The governmental experiment on uniting the student ID card and the payment card, held in Ukraine will be finished at the end of 2010. At present 38 institutes and universities of the country take part in the program. The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine has obliged the Ministry of Education and Science to consider all technological offers of different payment systems before it makes the decision on mass introduction of the uniform electronic student ID cards combined with the payment card. Now the Ministry often uses only one payment system – National system of mass electronic payments.
