Citing its sources, RBC reports that Executive VP and Head of Technology David Rafalovsky is leaving Sberbank. The bank refused to comment on this news, and Rafalovsky's CV is not available on the Sberbank website anymore.

David Rafalovsky had been working at Sberbank since 2017. In 2019, Christofari, the most powerful supercomputer at that time in Russia, was developed under his leadership. Before joining Sber, Rafalovsky lived in the USA and worked for the American Citigroup for 20 years, starting from the post of Application Architect up to Managing Director in the IT department responsible for the Compliance, Risk and Finance areas.

Earlier, First Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Board Lev Khasis decided to quit ahead of schedule, with this news went public on February 25. Prior to that, he planned to leave the bank's board on June 1, 2022, to lead a new e-commerce company, where the bank intended to accumulate its assets from the sector.
