The Dictionary is a unique reference book embracing the modern terminology base essential for thecashless payments industry. It is indispensable when working with documents in English originated from foreign banks, processing companies, equipment suppliers, etc.
We would like to cordially congratulate the PLUS teamon the project launch and wish you all every success in the development of the Dictionary, a huge number of readers, and patience in working on such a labour intensive and interesting project"

Igor Goldovsky,
Payment Technologies, CEO

"It so happened historically that the Soviet Union - and then, Russia - began to deal with credit card payments very late in comparison with the U.S. and Western Europe. That's why we were not involved in the creation of major payment systems and related operating technologies underlying them. Americans were pacesetters there, and no wonder why, therefore, English terminology and slang used by card technology experts are so common.
For this reason, PLUS English-Russian Dictionary is a product sought-out by experts in the field of cashless payments. The Dictionary is not only helpful for beginners, but for seasoned 'old men' working in this industry as well. The latter circumstance is explained by the fact that the authors of the Dictionary are most closely tracking the appearance of new terms associated with emerging innovative technologies.
I would make special mention of the high quality of the Dictionary and a great deal of work done by the PLUS team to create it. I'd like to wish the team every success in keeping the Dictionary up to the mark in the future and express my readiness to assist in the preparation of its new issues"

Victoria Smolenskaya,
ZolotayaKorona, Director

"In order to understand each other, people should speak the same language in the same semantic environment. This is an obvious maxim applicable to any activities, and first and foremost to business. We can recall a textbook example of the Tower of Babel building - this biblical business project failed because the stakeholders had stopped to understand each other ...
A truly civilized market can't do without an expert who, on the one hand, is in the thick of things, 'in subject', 'in trend', 'in market', and on the other, stays 'above the fray' being able to systematize, summarize, fix. This is especially difficult when it comes to such a mobile, flexible and ever-changing thing like language, and especially the language of new technologies, innovation and know-how.
On behalf of the ZolotayaKorona team I congratulate PLUS Editorial board and all market participants with the launch of the project of the 5th, jubilee, edition of the PLUS English-Russian Dictionary!
For many years the authors of the PLUS Dictionary has been doing this painstaking work to create and develop the modern terminology base, to form a unified vocabulary for better understanding and proper communication among all members of the professional community. The new edition of the PLUS Dictionary is a dignified continuation of this work. No doubt the new PLUS Dictionary will be quite popular with Russian and foreign specialists, market participants, experts, journalists, owing to a substantial expansion and update of the terminology series, as well as improved usability, especially insofar it concerns working with documents in English.
In order to succeed in any undertaking, it is necessary to set right goals and for a team of like-minded people. It is these factors that ensure a sustainable development. Then the ideas work, the input pays off and the effort yields results. Many thanks to the PLUS Dictionary team for the great and important work consolidating the market, for the fruits of this work that help all of us sort out the definitions"

Alexey Maslov,
Independent Expert

"As a person who has been contributing - modestly but directly - to this project since 1997, I am pleased and proud to see the publication, which grew into a handbook indispensable to every expert on cards and payments, is still in great demand, and the authors do their best to meet all today's requirements and expectations of exacting audience.
The new edition of the PLUS Dictionary is a logical follow-up of this work. No doubt the new PLUS Dictionary will be quite popular with Russian and foreign specialists, market participants, experts, journalists, owing to a substantial expansion and update of the terminology series, as well as improved usability, especially insofar it concerns working with documents in English.
The 5th Edition of PLUS Dictionary reflects an urgent need to continue long-term work aimed at unification of the terminology used by Russian and foreign experts and market participants, to supplement and update the already formed terminology series, and a desire to facilitate the work of professionals with documentation and materials in English available from foreign sources"

"Plastic cards, cashless payments, remote maintenance - concepts that have become an integral part of modern life. In the process of creating and maintaining service delivery systems using plastic cards, involved a large number of specialists of different profiles from those whose work depends on the success and quality of service delivery. At present, there has been a steady trend of technology transfer services for plastic cards in non-banking sector - public services, medicine, transportation, identification. All this leads to the need for understanding and use of specialized terminology a wide range of staff from different disciplines in their daily work - reading special literature, correspondence with foreign partners.
In this situation, Anglo-Russian Explanatory Dictionary on the subject of non-cash settlement is required only book that can not just translate the meaning of and understand its meaning, but also to structure the thinking reader, provides a common space of the same concepts interpreted by facilitating dialogue between people of different professions, accelerating thus the process of making the right decision.
The publication is the fifth edition of the book confirms the importance and relevance of the dictionary. The enthusiasm and professionalism with which the authors over the years working on the book, is the key to the unflagging interest of readers to this work"

"A very positive impression of the Dictionary. Each term is supplied with explanation of its meaning and a brief history of emergence. Most dictionaries give translations out of context, unlike this one, which leaves no specific payment term without a detailed description, with each of them giving a clear understanding of the term usage.
I recommend the Dictionary as a valuable tool for understanding the documentation, news in the field of payments and settlements"

Standardized terminology is essential for a clear understanding of tasks, for working with foreign sources and specialized literature.
The work on the terminology unification done by the authors of the Dictionary is a great helpinthe facilitation of mutual understanding between partners inthe banking projects. For many bankers the Dictionary has become a handy reference book.
