Raiffeisenbank is not going to leave Russia, irrespective of the format of participation of the Austrian group Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) in its capital, the Russian bank said in a statement.

“Raiffeisenbank will continue operations on the Russian market, regardless of the format of the RBI Group's participation in its capital. Besides, the revision of RBI’s participation is now considered solely as a last resort, no specific decisions have been made,” Raiffeisenbank said.

Raiffeisenbank continues to provide all financial services in full and is ready to ensure their uninterrupted availability to customers.

“Our safety margin will allow us to be on firm ground in any crisis situation. We regularly conduct stress tests to be prepared for various market scenarios,” the bank said.

On March 1, Reuters reported that Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) was considering exiting Russia. Agency sources informed that such a decision was not inevitable, but the bank could make it if its business in these countries would need additional money or capital.
