Cyber-attacks jumped four-fold in Russia

(no votes)

Kaspersky Lab has recorded an increase in the number of sophisticated cyber-attacks on businesses in Russia. In the first quarter of 2022, the company's experts recorded a four-fold growth in the number of such incidents compared to the same period last year.

The company attributes the surge in the number of incidents to the rapidly expanding cybersecurity threat landscape, as well as a weaker companies’ protection resulted from the suspension of operations of some foreign providers of corporate antiviruses in Russia.

To improve the infrastructure security, experts recommend using comprehensive solutions of the XDR (Extended Detection and Response) class designed to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber-attacks. These systems help to control all infrastructure end-points potentially exposed to cybercriminals’ access and enable information security experts to centrally respond to advanced cyber-attacks, targeted and APT threats throughout the entire infrastructure.
