Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank took part in the session “The Struggle against Fakes: Formation of Global Infrastructure and Consolidation of Efforts” at SPIEF-2025

In six months or a year, cyber fraudsters from different countries will be able to call any European country and deceive its citizens in the language of that country. The language barrier will disappear. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in technologies that can recognize deepfakes before they are sent to the user. This was reported by Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Stanislav Kuznetsov at the session “The Struggle against Fakes: Formation of Global Infrastructure and Consolidation of Efforts” during the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

As Stanislav Kuznetsov noted, to fight fakes and deepfakes, high technologies are to be used. Sberbank's anti-fraud system is already 99.9% effective in protecting bank clients against fraud, including deepfakes. Technology is advancing. But fraudsters are also gathering pace: they use phishing sites, forge documents, voices, images. This means that we need technologies that can recognize them.
