The share of Russians who prefer non-cash payments has not decreased over the past 2 months to remain at the level of 68%, a study by the NAFI analytical center shows.

Most Russians (63%) have not encountered any problems related to non-cash payments for goods or services over the past month, still preferring non-cash payments in the new socio-economic situation.

The study shows that Russians are not ready to give up cashless payments preferred now by 68% of the population. At the same time, 12% of Russians pay for purchases solely in cash today. All transactions went smoothly for 68% and 63% of shoppers in offline and online stores, respectively.

At the same time, some Russians faced difficulties hindering completion of payments. This was reported by 33% of respondents. More often, problems arose when paying with a bank card at a point of sale (26%), a little less often – when paying for goods ordered at websites (20%).

Difficulties in paying for goods and services were faced primarily by young people aged 18 to 35, and men rather than women (37% versus 29%).
