The recently published fundamental study “Russian Cinema: Limits to Growth and Lines of Development” * presents the financial history of Russian cinema over twenty years and examines its development prospects. The author, Anton Dozhdikov, PhD in political science and senior researcher at the Institute of Socio-Economics and Political Studies of the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, not only diagnoses the industry's structural crisis, drawing on a two-decade dataset, but also proposes a roadmap for transforming the film industry into a fully-fledged investment sector using traditional fintech and stock market tools.
